If you have not downloaded the MesoRD toolbox and everything else that is needed you need to do that first. You can read about this in the section called “ Installation ”. If you have the stand-alone version of the toolbox you start the toolbox by opening runToolbox.exe. If you are using MATLAB run the runToolbox function. When the MesoRD toolbox starts a few things have to be done. Just follow the instructions:
First you select which MesoRD simulation you want to open. It has to be a .xml file. (This assumes that the output data from the simulation is in the same directory as the .xml file to run the simulation.)
After that, you select which of the species in the simulation you want to look at. Make sure that you have enough memory, maybe you cannot load all species if it is a long simulation with many molecules and subvolumes.
Then you select if you have a deterministic or stochastic MesoRD simulation.
Now the files are being loaded. This may take a while depending on the size of the files.
Now a Graphical User Interface will open with the toolbox.
Last you get to give the size of the subvolumes (in numbers) and choose the length unit from a pop-up menu.
